Green Island foundation is joining the Going Green Project, “the Green Samui Decarbonizing 20/20 Mission”, organized by Tourism Authorities of Thailand (TAT) and Samui partners during May 14 – 16, 2012 at Samui Munipacity.
The “Green: the Simplicity” will be held tomorrow (16th May) conducts by invited Major General Jaraspim Dhiralaksh (Managing Direstor, DASTA Office 1) at Muang Municipacity, Petch Samui Conference Room from 8:30 to 13:30 with no charge (lunch will be provided). Our aim of this session is to gain the knowledge and exeperience including the Free GIZ and Green Leaf Tool/Application.
Green World Foundation under the Royal Patronage of H.R.H Princess Galyani Vadhana Kromluang Naradhivas Rajanagarindra. Founded in 1991, the Green World Foundation is a non-profit organisation which collaborates closely with youth, educators. practitioners, and community leaders throughout Thailand to inspire the development and adoption of environmental ethics, and strengthen the capacity for proactively contributing to the sustainable care of the local environments.
Greenleaf Foundation was jointly established by the 6 organizations with the same determination and responsibility, with support fund sponsorship from various local and international organizations. They have organized several training seminars on environmental educational, environmental standards, and energy efficiency since 1999. Green Leaf Program for hotels under the Green Leaf Foundation is the first step in the development of environmental quality for the tourism industry. Various activities will be organized by the Foundation in the future,according to its future developmet and objectives. once the foundation has sufficient capacity to move on.
Positive Visions for Biodiversity is organised by the Belgian Biodiversity Platform with the support of the Belgian Science Policy Office, and the Steering Committee of EPBRS. Positive Visions for Biodiversity is delivered in partnership with national and international partners. Imagine a future where everyone, not just research scientists and environmentalists, collectively works towards a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship with the living world. That future is achievable. Positive Visions for Biodiversity is a unique opportunity to shape our strategy for realizing this future that we want and need. The summit will bring delegates together in a live, collaborative brainstorm to create an aspirational vision for our relationship with biodiversity, as well as a pathway for research and policy that will deliver it. You will never have attended an event quite like this before.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand or the TAT is fully aware of the environmental and social problem related to tourism therefore it has come up with the “7 Greens” concept for all sectors involved…operators, tourists, and local communities…to be conscious and cooperate in reducing the impact on the environment. 7 Greens
