The Green Island Foundation gives and receives support from eco-events like the annual Samui Mala Festival. It also manages initiatives such as the publication of a Green Guide and co-operates in programmes like the Low Carbon Schools Project, funded by Samui Municipality and the Thai Hotels Association. Green Island Foundation connects with the various projects and events. Green Island Foundation organized mangrove forest restoration and building Check dams on June 17-18, 2013. Members from Thai Hotel Association and representatives of thai student from many universities including Columbia, Stanford, and Princeton who annually work to organize service trip’ to Thailand during June.
